How the Love began?

heart

My coding journey kicked off back in University when I decided to dive into web development by creating a WordPress website for my e-commerce venture. I was hooked right from the start. I started exploring HTML, CSS, PHP and eventually JS through online courses. This newfound passion led me to General Assembly's intensive 13 weeks program, where I gained basic tech skills, insights, and most importantly group problem solving experiences. Code was never really the point for me though. It's the tool I reach for to build the things I want to exist, interfaces, checkout flows, whole businesses from scratch. That's what I'm building next. Still not over it. Not a phase, mom.

My Projects

nuhippies

Nu Hippies

Nu Hippies Movement was my most technically ambitious build: a full e-commerce platform on a dropshipping model, hand-coded without AI assistance. React front end, Node/Express and MongoDB backend, custom Stripe checkout, user accounts, order management, and a Gumtree-style second-hand marketplace with map-based search. Recently redeployed to stay live as a working demo, the original 2021–22 build and commit history are unchanged.
gyminy

Gyminy

A coaching platform: coaches post bookable sessions, students book them, and everyone builds a profile out of photos, videos and articles. This started as my final bootcamp project, Django and PostgreSQL, built solo in a week. Afterwards I rebuilt the whole thing in Express and MongoDB on my own time, and this version went well past what the course actually needed: direct messaging, a follow graph, an event-driven notification system, and capacity-limited bookings sitting on top of the usual CRUD. Brought back online in 2026 after years dormant.
trawat

TraWat

One of my Single Item E-Commerces: A web app developed with Express.js and React. I used Mongoose to define schemas and models for MongoDB databases, which store the product information and the user orders. I also created a custom checkout system that integrates with Stripe Payment gateway. The web application is responsive and has a sleek design, using SaSS for styling.
NNS

NNS

MERN stack News app, created during one of the Covid lockdowns, when I was frustrated with all the misinformation and conspiracy theories around. The goal of this News web and Facebook group was to post ridiculous fake news and prove how easily some people could fall for it. After some time, I posted a big reveal on the website and on the Facebook status, explaining to those followers what the initiative was about and informing them on how destructive these kinds of misinformation are and advising them to properly check their sources.
plantify

Plantify

Group project of four, completed in 7 days, and build in JavaScript.
Node.js(MongoDB) on the back end and React on the frontend. It is a social network for houseplant-lovers. Users can show their plants and swap plants with other users. It was a perfect experience of working in a group, dividing tasks, planning, and working with a Git as a group. My main responsibility was plant trading functionality in back end and front end. I was also doing other social network functionalities and part of the styling which was done with SaSS, and Bulma. ReadMe
artilery

Artillery Game

This project was created in pure JavaScript. It was an individual project and I build it in 7 days. I made tanks and artillery game based on the classic battleships game.

General Assembly

Software Engineering Student

13 weeks Software Engineering Immersive Bootcamp at General Assembly. It gave me a lot of technical skills, a good understanding of the industry, and also group problem-solving experiences. Each day on the course usually started with morning standup followed by a coding warmup exercise (normally on codewars). After this, we would begin with the day’s topic, learning new topics, and completing exercises to solidify what we've learnt. During the course I've been working on group and individual projects, I have done front end, and full-stack apps using React, Django, Node, etc.
Learn2Code.sk

Online Courses at learn2code.sk

Before I started at General Assembly, I have done a few online courses at Slovak coding educational website learn2code.sk There are courses about almost every modern coding technology. I was focusing on HTML & CSS, jQuery and PHP.
